Galway city is based on the southern shores of Ireland; it is located on River Corrib’s banks and is considered to be a very intimate city. It doesn’t involve much civilization and is a small scale city. The city is famous for its arts and crafts and a live music attraction, being a small city such scenes proves to be very scenic and crazy for everyone around. The city basically runs through the bohemian vibes. The city holds a very cultural history of tribes. Galway city also serves as the port for trading, of Galway. Here are my top most attractions for this lively town.
Galway Market
If you want to visit through the tribal culture and the bohemian vibes of the Galway city, this market is the best place to go through. The market alone serves as a purpose of various varieties like produces, shopping, food, and arts crafts. The market is based near the Nicholas church, which is centuries old and can be visited while you travel through the market. The market is widely famous for it’s over 50 different sweet treats, created right in front of you.
Galway Cathedral
This ancient castle is just an eight-minute walk away from the St. Nicholas church and is one of the most visited places around Galway. The castle holds huge importance in its history and still represents it wildly. At night the whole castle lights up with a thousand bulbs and becomes spectacular to look at. The entry for the castle is free.
The Corrib Princess
If looking for adventure in this beautiful town, this is your place. It is famous among the tourists for water sports. You can also sign up for a 90-minute boat ride which takes you through the farthest point of the princess and the lunch is on them. It costs around 500 Euros.
